在论坛“灌水”的“灌水”怎么说？

“灌水”，一些人为了获得积分在论坛里反复留言，在回别人帖子的时候没有做出交际性的评论，只是简单的表示“同意”、“支持”，内容与主题无关，这种现象在英语中叫bump，它在论坛里是“顶”的意思：To bump a thread on an internet forum is to post a reply in order to raise the thread’s profile by returning it to the top of the list of active threads. This is also called “necroposting”. 这种“灌水”往往被认为是一种垃圾留言（spam），被很多论坛禁止。
还有许多网络用语，比如潜水……可以google一下 “Cyber Slang－－网络英语词汇”。

” 有些是中国网络语言，并非通用的。
灌水这词，英语中应该不会说：请不要灌水啥的。
做程序时，一般以flood来命名此举动。警告时可以说：you must wait 20 seconds between posts 或者 You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.或者：You cannot post another article at this time. Try again later.
很少有说please do not water的,google之即知。

我用“有道桌面”查的，的确不清楚其权威性。只能等高人最后来给下结论了。:) 都说了 spam各位都不上英语论坛么？ spam可能不是灌水的意思，更多是指垃圾邮件，在论坛是指软文广告的意思

发了个帖子问了一些问题，今天上论坛一看，帖子竟然被放进了回收站，说是广告贴或着是spam......冤枉啊！我只是在帖子中加了一下博客地址的超链接而已。^_^
不过这个spam倒是引起了我的兴趣。
金山词霸中spam的解释是：兜售信息[邮件，广告，新闻，文章]，非索要信息。与垃圾邮件（junk mail）同义。
由来：
Spam，最早的意思是一种罐装肉的牌子。它是“specially processed assorted meat”的缩写，意思是经过特殊加工的混合肉，具体指的是由Hormel食品公司生产的碎猪肉罐头，就是咱们俗称的午餐肉。
在二战期间，SPAM是英国因为物资短缺而凭票供应时期为数不多的不需要凭票的肉制品。几年后，英国人一提SPAM就犯恶心。英国一家剧团 Monty Python在1970年出台了一部三分半钟的轻喜剧，讲述馒头夫人和馒头先生到餐馆用餐，点来点去菜单里所有的菜都或多或少有SPAM在里面，剧中两位顾客试图点一份没有SPAM的早餐，但不能得逞。
这个剧情也因此被引申来借指现在泛滥成灾，不请自来的那些垃圾邮件，垃圾帖子，垃圾广告什么的。
现在，Spam被用来称呼互联网上到处散布垃圾广告消息的现象。
网络上还流传着Spam还有另外一种说法：英文 Stupid Person Advertising Method(“笨蛋的广告方法”）的缩写。

“灌水”一词来源于英文add water，“灌水”一词的流行与美国前总统里根有很大关系，里根任总统期间曾悄悄使用“add water”的昵称在一著名BBS上发表文章，很多网友都知道“add water”这个人，但不知是里根。后来里根自曝内幕，网上哗然一片，从此“add water”名扬四海，并逐渐演变成为在网上发表文章与观点的统称。现在“灌水”一词广泛用于互联网络，许多的BBS上都会有这样的欢迎词：“欢迎各位用户前来灌水”以表明自身BBS的民主和自由的气氛。
在以前的帖子里也见过这个内容，当时还以为是“民间传说”呢……-_!!

这里应该说的是“不赞成灌水、自己给自己顶帖、翻老帖……”
所以我觉得一般的灌水（不是指恶意灌水），还是翻译成bumping
里根总统的传说，google一下Ronald Reagan add water反正是没看到英文网页里有。我觉得论坛以中文来说，作为"坛子"，往里加水是可能的，但是作为英语加水就很古怪了。

所以想用鸟语中的一个词来翻译是几乎不可能的
除非用拼音: [size=2]Guanshui[/size].
当然，细化一下，可以分以下几类：

类似经典里的灌水区感觉可以翻译成这个。
2.[size=2]Chat[/size]
这个是版聊。
3.[size=2]Cackle or Gossip[/size]
这个。。类似技术区无意义的回复。

我还是坚持英语里没“灌水”这词，太生动形象了，就跟*卧撑一样，老外是只知表面，不知内里的。
再说说里根的故事：
